Overview

Mavire Codoir was developed as a DC Regent Group venture with a single, demanding brief: build a premium fashion and lifestyle brand that endures. Not a label chasing seasons, but a brand built on timeless design, lasting quality, and a clear point of view.

Building it in-house gave the brand access to the whole group — strategy, identity, digital, and operations — from day one rather than from a post-launch rescue.

The Core Problem

Entering fashion under a new name is unforgiving. Buyers are saturated, discounting is the default, and a brand without a defensible point of view disappears within a season.

The question was never how to look premium. It was what the brand would be premium at — the material, the cut, the service, the price — and whether every touchpoint held that line.

Constraints & Reality Check

  • No manufacturing heritage to inherit — supplier relationships had to be built from a standing start.
  • Premium positioning rules out competing on price, so margin discipline mattered from the first order.
  • A new name carries no search history, so demand had to be created rather than captured.
  • A small team: the brand had to be run by the same people who built it.

Strategic Approach

Positioning came first, and everything else answered to it. Product design, materials, packaging, photography, and the digital storefront were designed as one system so the brand reads consistently wherever a customer meets it.

As a group venture, Mavire Codoir launched with shared operational infrastructure — finance, sourcing discipline, and digital — which is what allowed a new label to present with the polish of an established house.

Key Initiatives Implemented

  • Brand positioning and value proposition defined before any product decisions
  • Identity system — wordmark, typography, colour, and art direction
  • Product range architecture and sourcing standards
  • Packaging and unboxing designed as part of the brand, not added to it
  • Digital storefront and editorial site, built on the group web stack
  • Launch communications and founder-led storytelling

Deliverables Shipped

  • Brand system — positioning, identity, and art direction delivered as one documented set.
  • Product range — an opening collection built around the standards the brand states out loud.
  • Digital flagship — a storefront and editorial site launched alongside the collection.
  • Operating backbone — shared finance, sourcing, and logistics across the group.

Lasting Impact

Mavire Codoir is the clearest example of the DC Regent Group model: a brand built and operated by the group, launched with infrastructure it would otherwise have had to assemble from nothing.

It also gives the group a live test bed for fashion operations — insight that now informs how we approach ventures in adjacent categories.

Mavire Codoir was built to be a house, not a launch. Every decision — material, cut, packaging, store — was made on the assumption that we will still be here in ten years, judged on the same standard.
